A recent study by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners has revealed that the iPhone 6 is selling much better that the iPhone 6 Plus.

The study that was carried out during the first 30 days of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch in the US, showed that the iPhone 6 accounted for 68% of all iPhone sales with the iPhone 6 Plus taking between 23 and 24 percent.

The iPhone 6 is thus outselling the iPhone 6 Plus by a margin of 3:1. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus accounted for about 91% of all iPhone sales in the US with the remaining part being the sales of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.

The study also revealed that more buyers are attracted to the latest generation iPhones taking into account that the iPhone 5s and 5c accounted for the 84% of the sales during the same period last year. The not so impressive sales of the iPhone 6 Plus have been attributed to supply constraints that limit the Smartphone’s availability.

The iPhone 6 Plus carries a $100 premium over the iPhone 6. More sales of the iPhone 6 Plus will, therefore, translate into more revenue for the Cupertino Tech Giant.
