Android smartphones have become extremely powerful over time and the change in the APK size limit is an indication that there is a demand for Apps that provide a “delightful user experience that maximizes the hardware of the device.”
Google, however, further urges developers to keep their code lean in order to satisfy the diverse needs of users around the world. The company cited the limited data connectivity, data caps and install time as some of the constraints that developers should consider when writing their code.
