The Motorola Moto C is a budget Android smartphone that recently became available in Kenya. The Moto C is one of the first Motorola smartphones to launch in the country years after the exit of the brand from the market.

That said, here is what the Moto C has to offer.

Highlights – why you should buy it

Performance

Operating System: Android 7.0 (Nougat)

CPU: Quad-core 1.1 GHz Cortex-A53

RAM:  1 GB (3G) / 2GB (4G)

Internal Memory: 8/16 GB

Micro SD: Yes, up to up to 32 GB

The Moto C performance profile is one of the features why you should consider buying the phone. You get a Quad-core 1.1 GHz Cortex-A53 chipset that is coupled with either 1GB (3G version) or 2GB (4G version) RAM.

The profile doesn’t really stand out since it’s pretty much the standard that most now expect from budget smartphones. Other than that, you an option between 8 or 16 GB as internal storage plus a MicroSD slot that can handle up to 32GB of memory.

Price

The price of the Moto C is the second highlight of the Moto C. The Moto C (3G) goes for Ksh. 8,399 while Moto C (4G) goes for Ksh. 9,999.

Motorola got the price right since under Ksh. 10,000 still remains the most popular price segment for budget smartphones in Kenya.

The Moto C features a polycarbonate candy bar design that looks quite good. Not much can be said about it.
