Microsoft has officially unveiled the Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM.
The Nokia 215 is an entry-level device that will be part of making Microsoft’s mission of connecting the next billion people to the internet for the first time possible.
The Nokia 215 will come pre-installed with Opera Mini as the default browser, Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Twitter Apps for social networking tasks.
Web access on the Nokia 215 will be through 2G internet (EDGE) but the 215 will also include Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM for faster file sharing.

The Nokia 215 can provide up to 20 hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 29 days. Music playback time is up to 50 hours while FM Radio playback time is up to 45 hours.
The Nokia 215 is clearly a smartphone for the emerging markets. Microsoft will begin rolling out the 215 in some select markets, first in the Middle East, Africa (possibly Kenya), Asia, and Europe.
The Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM have a suggested retail price of $29 or about Ksh 2,700 before subsidies and taxes.
