Dimensions: 130.4 x 71.4 x 10.4 mm

Weight: 158 g

The Nokia Lumia 1020 appears svelte compared to the chunky Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom. The Lumia 1020 is a niche device that prioritizes camera size to everything else. The bulge on the rear side of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is just a small price to pay for a larger than life camera experience.

Screen Size: 4.5 inches

Screen Resolution: 768 x 1280 pixels

Display Technology: AMOLED

Screen Resolution Density: 332 ppi

Screen Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 3

You can never go wrong with an Amoled display. The display was an important aspect as you would need to gaze at the stunning images that the Nokia Lumia snapper captures. The screen vibrancy is amazing and outdoor visibility is satisfactory.

However, it would have been awesome if the Lumia 1020 has a 1080p Full HD display similar to the one found on the Lumia 1350.

CPU: Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait

GPU: PowerVR SGX 544MP3

Operating System: Microsoft Windows Phone 8

One of the greatest things about the Windows 8 OS is that it runs flawlessly on low end and high end hardware. The Dual Core CPU plus a Solid 2GB of RAM is just what the Lumia 1020 needs to put up a great performance.

Internal Memory: 32GB

Card Slot: No

32GB of internal memory is a rather obvious tech specification. The huge internal memory will come in handy in the storage of the high resolution images captured by the Lumia 1920.

Rear Camera: 41 MP

Front Facing Camera: 1.2 MP

LED: Yes

The 41 MP camera sensor is the highlight of the Nokia Lumia 1020. Nokia had to sacrifice a lot in terms of design to fix the snapper on the Nokia Lumia 1020.

The 41 MP snapper was worth it all. The camera is the largest ever found on a Smartphone to date. The Lumia 1020 is the perfect companion of avid photographers.

The Camera is one of the notorious battery draining villains in Smartphones. Battery drain by the huge 41 MP Camera is, therefore, something that could be a massive issue.

The Lumia 1020, however, handles this issue sufficiently and can easily deliver 24 hours on moderate usage and about 14 hours of heavy usage (Image capture and manual adjustments).

Good and agreed. I believe that others manufacturers are sometimes
overrated especially the Samsung. people must give this phone a try and
they wont be disappointed. Am currently using it for 2 weeks and love
the fact that the battery lasts the full day unlike my iphone 5 and the
Samsung galaxy S3. Pics are really out of this worls, and this comes
    from a photograpy enthusiast.

    • Yeah, most definitely. Apart from the awesome battery life aspect, the design concept is amazing! Fitting a 41 MP beast on a Smartphone is something that only Nokia has done. I totally agree with you, Samsung is at times overrated.
