Samsung was able to retain the #1 Spot in a recent South Korean Brand Value report. This is despite the company dealing with the costly recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Industry watchers had expected the Seoul-based Tech giant to take a hit from the Billion dollar recall of its latest flagship smartphone, but it seems the recall did not affect the company’s brand value in its home court.
Samsung was ranked #1 in the South Korean Top 10 brand list with an accumulative score of about 912.1 points.
The company attributes its quick response to the Galaxy Note 7 battery issues as one of the key reasons why it was able to maintain its brand value.
It will be interesting to see how the Samsung Brand will perform in the global rankings.
