It was in July 2015, leaked that Samsung was working on a Galaxy J2.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 was expected to be an upgrade of the entry-level Galaxy J1 and the bridge between the J1 and its mid-range siblings, the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 was developed by the Research and Development facility in India and therefore, most of its hardware has been fine tuned to meet the needs of the Indian smartphone consumer.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Price Kenya

The Indian subcontinent is a very important market for Samsung and thus, it is no wonder the company is working to secure its market share in the country through offering smartphones that appeal best to the buyers.

However, the important bit about this all, is that the needs of the Indian smartphone buyer mirror those of buyers in the developing world by a large extent.

Therefore, even though the Galaxy J2 is designed specifically for the Indian market, Samsung can effortlessly turn it into a global product if the company chooses to.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 has a suggested retail price of INR 8,490, which is an equivalent of Ksh. 13,500 in Kenya.
