Innjoo decided to look east (Japan) for the screen protection for the One. Instead of the Corning Gorilla Glass that is very common in premium smartphones, the Innjoo one uses Dragontrail™ X Glass.

Asahi Glass (Japanese Manufacturer) describes the Dragontrail™ X Glass as a “superior substitute to conventional cover material.” The use of the technology on the Innjoo One was possibly to keep the product costs low.

Other Smartphones that use Dragontrail™ X Glass include Sony Xperia Z3 and Galaxy Nexus.

Design was clearly of great priority during the design of the Innjoo One. Designing a budget smartphone is a complex affair and often vendors struggle to strike the balance between design and keeping the product costs low.

Innjoo was, however, able to accomplish this effortlessly. The Injoo Note has an Aluminum Alloy frame and a very slim profile of just 6.9 mm (exactly like the iPhone 6)

The all-metal design concept of the Innjoo One embarrasses its polycarbonate rivals such as the Microsoft Lumia 535.

A 1.4GHz Octa-core CPU powers the Innjoo One. A quad core CPU is kind of a big deal considering that most devices in its category sport quad core CPUs.

You have 2GB RAM on the One (just like the Samsung Galaxy S5). 2 GB RAM is still a premium feature and seeing it there was surprising.

The Injoo One runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.

Other than that, you get 16GB internal storage and a memory card slot that can support up to a 64 GB Micro SD card.

Verdict

You probably have heard about Xiaomi and One Plus. Xiaomi uses a strategy where it sells its product at razor-thin profit margins in order to offer the best products at the most competitive price.

Using that strategy Xiaomi was able to dethrone Samsung from the Chinese market. Innjoo seems to have embraced a similar tactic and the One is evidence enough.
