Instagram brought a new way for users to share links in stories a few months ago, but the feature was limited to verified accounts or people with a certain number of followers.

Now, the so-called “link stickers” feature will be rolled out to all Instagram users on both Android and iOS platforms. The feature is meant to replace the swipe-up gesture for sharing links, that’s been around for a while.

To add a link to your Instagram story, here’s what you’ll have to do;

  • Capture or upload content to your story
  • Select the sticker tool from the top navigation bar
  • Tap the “Link” sticker to add your desired link and tap “Done”
  • Place the sticker on your story — like our other stickers — and tap on the sticker to see color variations

Instagram also hinted that future tweaks are in the works, such as customization options, to make it clear what someone will see when they tap a link.

Make sure to update your Instagram app to the latest version to access the feature. Also, it’s worth noting that the link stickers feature can only be used in Instagram stories.
