Kenya has so far been a pioneer of mobile payment via the M-Pesa platform and it was simply just a matter of time before the trend catches up with the rest of the world.

Samsung attributes the rapid adoption of its mobile payment service to the fact that its service is widely accepted by retailers in South Korea.

It will interesting to see how Samsung Pay will perform once it goes live in the United States later on in October.
