The Whatsapp call feature has been the subject of online blabber for quite some time after it was released by  developers for a select few. But the good news is that it is now available to everyone after a new update.

Before it was a matter of doing a tweak of sorts if you were too impatient to wait for the official release.

You could also automatically get activated if you received a call from someone who already had the feature on their device.

But with this new version [WhatsApp for Android, 2.12.19], you just have to activate it yourself hassle free.

On the new version the interface has an added “Calls Log” tab at the top menu. Making a call is quite simple as you just have to tap on the “Plus” button. This opens a call interface which is pretty much straightforward.

The interface has features such as ‘hang up’, ‘speaker’, ‘mute’ and you can also switch into chat mode again.

The calls are really clear with no interruptions and are swift in connecting. It is not yet clear whether they work in all countries but the folks who have tried so far have gone through perfectly.
