Texting your friends and family using your Windows 10 PC is about to get a whole lot easier, provided you have the right model. That’s because Samsung has released a new messaging app dubbed Samsung Messaging that’s available in the Microsoft store.
The app will let PC owners send and receive SMS text messages directly from their computers without having to link them with their phones. There’s still little information about the app and Samsung hasn’t officially announced any plans for its release.

The description claims that the app is for devices capable of using mobile data (5G and 4G LTE) and the list of compatible devices is limited including;
- Galaxy Tab Pro S
- Galaxy Book 10.6 LTE
- Galaxy Book 12 LTE
- Galaxy Book 2
- Galaxy Flex 2 5G
It’s no surprise to see Samsung’s best laptops being used to support the company’s new messaging app. We anticipate Samsung will make the device compatible with additional device models and add Wi-fi support later.
In the meantime, there are plenty of ways to get the same functionality including the your phone app to link your device and PC.
