Samsung’s Galaxy A series started with budget smartphones like the A02s, now, it’s time to move to the mid-rangers. Samsung announced the A52 and A72 which both offer all-around technical profiles while still giving you value for your money. Let’s have a look at the new models Samsung has to offer.
It’s worth noting that the A52 comes in two variations-4G and 5G while the A72 is only available as a 4G phone.
For starters, they both sport a Super AMOLED Display with 1080p resolution. The 4G models come with a 90Hz refresh rate while the 5G version comes with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The A72, however, is just a bit larger compared to the A52 versions with a 6.7-inches display. Otherwise, they pretty much have the same Infinity-O display with a punch-hole cut out for the selfie camera at the top-middle.
One other similarity, optics-wise, is that they both come with the same quad-camera set-up featuring a main 64MP rear camera. The A52, though, reaches a Digital Zoom of up to 10x while the A72 reaches an impressive 30x.
In terms of storage and performance, the lowest variation of the A52 comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The highest version of the A72 is equipped with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. They all come with a dedicated MicroSD that grants a massive 1TB of additional space.
The Samsung Galaxy A72 has a suggested retail price of Ksh. 49,999 while the Galaxy A52 costs Ksh. 39,999.
