One UI 4.0 has yet to be officially confirmed by Samsung and unless the tech giant decides to make some radical changes it will be based on Android 12.
Just last week, Google held their heavily anticipated annual event, the Google I/O 2021, where they officially showcased the latest software update coming to Android phones, Android 12.
The update brings a splendid visual upgrade that not only seems fun and enjoyable to use but will also be a major evolutionary step over the current One UI 3.5.
It’s expected to debut in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. The One UI 4.0 is Samsung’s ninth One UI version upgrade, and inevitably, some Galaxy phones and tablets will be eligible for the upgrade while others will be left behind.
Samsung has been making changes to their security updates as well as Android OS updates where they mentioned last year, that they will be offering three major Android OS updates instead of two.
This applies to Galaxy smartphones released 2019 onwards with Android 9 or later. This list isn’t final and could change in the future. We will keep you updated in case of any changes as we get closer to the Android 12 release.
