Jumia’s partnership with Posta Kenya to boost E-commerce uptake in the country

E-commerce is still in its infancy stage in Kenya. Most Kenyans are still unsure of the concept and this limits the uptake of E-commerce in the country.

Jumia has today signed a deal with Posta Kenya that will boost e-commerce uptake in Kenya. The deal now allows Jumia Kenya customers to Pick up and Pay for items they ordered customers from selected Post offices across the country.

Posta Kenya has a vast network of Post offices countrywide and therefore, could handle the logistics needed to deliver the ordered items to remote regions of the country.

The partnership is also to the benefit of Posta Kenya as it will provide incentive to the growing number of Jumia Kenya to access other services that the Parastatal offers.
