Huawei has officially begun seeding the Android 5.1.1. update to the year-old Ascend P7.
The Huawei Ascend P7 came with Androidv4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box and the news that the device will be receiving the update arouses fresh interest in the smartphone.
The Huawei Ascend P7 Android 5.1.1 update has been into public beta testing since June 2015. This is one of the reasons why the update took this long.
The update is seeding to Ascend P7 units worldwide via an over the air update. Alternatively, users can download the firmware file and manually update their smartphones to Android 5.1.1.
