The Infinix Hot 7 is one of the latest Android smartphones to hit the market.
The Hot 7 is arguably one of the best budget smartphones you can buy right now.
First things first. Let’s talk a bit about the variants.
The Infinix Hot 7 is available in two variants. The first one is the X624 (16+1GB) variant. This one has a suggested retail price of Ksh. 10,499.
The other one is the X624B (32+2GB) variant. This one has a suggested retail price of the Ksh. 11,499.
Apart from the internal memory and RAM, the notable distinguishing feature is that the X624B variant has a dual camera, while the X624 variant packs a single camera.
That sorted, here are some of the features we so far like about the Infinix Hot 7. We’ll focus on the X624B since that’s the variant i have personally used and can vouch for.
#1: Battery Life
I totally like the battery stamina of the Infinix Hot 7. The smartphone packs a large 4000mAh battery and this means it’s easy to squeeze out two days out of the smartphone from a single charge while on moderate usage. I hate carrying my charger around and with the Hot 7, i didn’t have to.
#2: Internal Storage and RAM
There are a handful of smartphones that pack 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. The Hot 7 packs this combo. The closest smartphone that packs a similar storage profile is the Samsung Galaxy J4+ (Ksh. 14,950).
#3: Display
Most smartphone vendors tend to skimp on the display size in order to minimize production costs. Infinix went all in with the Hot 7. You get a 6.27-inch IPS LCD display, which is not only big but also bright and vibrant.
#4: Camera
The Infinix Hot 7 camera is not perfect. However, at that price point it over delivers in terms of the value it provides. Speaking of the camera, the Hot 7 is among the very few budget smartphones with a dual camera.
#5: Packaging
This is a rather superficial non permanent feature. The Infinix Hot 7 comes is two big orange boxes. At first instance you will think that the package contains two phones. However, one of the box contains the phone while the other box packs a selection of gifts to reward you for the purchase.
It’s a neat concept that i totally liked.
The Infinix Hot 7 isn’t perfect there are some quirks here and there that we didn’t like that much. The notable one is that the smartphone doesn’t support 4G.
We are working on an article to address those issues. However, all in all, we had more to like about the smartphone.
