itel Kenya has partnered with a youth NGO in a corporate social responsibility project that will see the leading smartphone brand donate books, laptops, and an assorted range of stationary to Mama Ngina Primary school, in Nakuru county.
The project is the latest in a series of activities by the brand to give back to society.
It’s also an affirmation of itel’s ethos on the importance of caring for everyone in society.
Itel intends to broaden the scope of the project through the provision of infrastructural and basic amenities for the underprivileged in society.
Itel partnered with “The Youth Bila Noma” NGO to run the project. The project is among the first of several projects that the brand plans to run as we approach the festive season.
Itel will donate 50 school desks, 1000 storybooks, a range of stationery items, bookshelves, and itel kid tablets, and laptops.
The project is also part of itel’s effort to contribute towards the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Through the project, itel highlights the intention of the brand not to be seen exclusively as a smartphone brand, but rather embraces the identity of being a responsible corporate citizen.
