itel has today launched its latest entry to the P-series, the P38. The smartphone is a direct successor to the P37 series, launched last year, and has been endorsed by local brand Ambassador King Kaka.
The P38 series is available in two variants; itel P38 and P38 Pro. The Pro version, however, is expected to arrive later this month. The series brings with it impeccable improvements starting with the design and display.
The P38 sports a 6.6-inch waterdrop-notch display with narrow bezels. It has a screen ratio of up to 90% allowing for wider angles and vision. The P38 has a stylish unibody design.
It comes with a plastic build featuring a smooth and rounded frame that makes it sleek and sophisticated. Plus, it features an upgraded fingerprint sensor on the back. It’s available in three color options; Nebula Black, Galaxy Blue and Spruce Green.
As for optics, the P38 comes equipped with an 8MP triple camera and a front-facing 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The camera includes LED Flash and some awesome software features like Bokeh Effect and panorama mode.
Under the hood, you get MediaTek’s Helio P22 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. It’s a decent setup and is sure to run all your standard apps and games smoothly. Memory-wise, it packs 32GB of internal storage and runs Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box.
Keeping the lights on is a Li-Po 5000mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging. The itel P38 is available for purchase in mobile shops countrywide at a retail price of Ksh. 10,500. You can also place your order on Jumia and enjoy discounted prices.
