This is according to a tweet published by Juho Sarvikas, Nokia’s Chief Product Officer.

The news that the smartphone has begun receiving the update is quite exciting considering that most smartphone manufacturers do not prioritize software updates to cheap Android smartphones.
The smartphone is also quite popular in Kenya due to its price
The update appears to be rolling out globally and you should therefore check the Android update center to confirm if Android Pie 9.0 is available for your device.
Meanwhile, check out the technical profile of the Nokia 1.
