OPPO officially unveiled its latest smartphone, the K3 and it’s dazzling. OPPO introduced the smartphone today weeks after the device began leaking online.
The OPPO K3 packs a decent mid-range smartphone technical profile with the highlight being an elevating selfie camera. It’s a feature similar to the one found on the OPPO F11 Pro. The K3 offers a 16 MP selfie camera and a 16+2 MP rear camera.
Another highlight of the device is that it packs an under the screen finger-print sensor.
An in-screen fingerprint sensor is still largely a premium smartphone feature and it’s therefore interesting how OPPO was able to make it available on a mid-range smartphone.
In addition to this, a Qualcomm chipset powers the smartphone and this is coupled with either 6 or 8GB RAM. Storage-wise, the K3 is available in 64 and 128 GB variants.
The best part is that pricing for the smartphone starts at around Ksh. 24,000 for the 64GB version. This is quite a fantastic price point.
The K3 is currently available in China and OPPO is yet to confirm on whether the smartphone will be available in the global market.
