Samsung has officially unveiled two of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress that is currently taking place in Barcelona.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge look a lot like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in term of their design. This is in terms of the premium metal and glass construction and also the integration “3D thermal forming” to enhance the ergonomics of the two smartphones.
Samsung brought back the Micro SD slot to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, a critical feature that was missing on the 2015 flagship smartphones. In addition to that, both the two smartphones are IP68 certified making them water and dust resistant.
Another exciting feature is the ‘Always On’ display. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge feature an always on display that displays the time and notifications.
Samsung touts a 30% improvement in CPU performance and a massive 60% improvement in GPU performance. On the camera, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge features enhanced hardware and camera features that includes a Dual Pixel sensor.
Pricing starts at Euro 699 (about Ksh. 79,000 in Kenya) for the Galaxy S7 and Euro 799 (about Ksh. 90,000 in Kenya) for the Galaxy S7 Edge.
