It is a safe assumption to state that many of us go to bed with our dear Smartphones in hand. We had even previously recommended a couple of websites that are perfect for Bedtime Reading.
A recent study carried out in Norway has, however, revealed that day as well bedtime usage of your Smartphone can have some detrimental effect on your sleep cycle.
The study that was carried out on 9,800 teens, showed that the longer the subject spent looking at their smartphone, tablets and PC screens the less they slept that night.
In addition to this, teens that spent more than four hours on their Smartphones were 49% more likely to take longer than an hour to fall asleep.
Scientist found out that the light emitted by displays was messing up with the Circadian Rhythms AKA the ‘internal body clock’.
The study also revealed that it is possible that the devices could also be stimulating the nervous system.
