StarTimes has officially unveiled its on demand mobile video streaming service in Kenya.
The service, StarTimes ON, lets you watch a ton of content for free but you need a subscription to access sporting content and as well as some premium content.
Subscriptions start from Ksh. 30, Ksh 120 and Ksh 240 for daily, weekly and monthly plans respectively. The App has been available in some African countries for a while now and therefore, already has lots of content to get you started.
You can choose between the Movies, Series, Entertainment, News and Kids section. Most of the major free-to-air channels are available on the app. You however, have to pay to access premium channels such as National Geographic and Bloomberg.
The app streams in Standard Definition and well as High Definition, which is awesome. In addition to this, StarTimes touts the service as being about 66% more efficient than YouTube when it comes to data usage.
StartTimes ON is available for download from Google’s Play store and Apple’s App Store.
