TECNO Mobile has a new tablet out, the DroiPad 7D.
The entry level tablet launched just over a week ago and is currently one of the most affordable tablets you can buy right now.
That said, here is a quick unboxing and first impressions of the DroiPad 7D.
Inside the box, you will find;
- TECNO DroiPad 7D
- AC Charger
- USB Cable
- Warranty documentation
- User Guide
- Silicone Back Cover
First Impressions
The first aspect of the tablet I noticed was the design. TECNO decided to tone down the design to the bare minimum leaving a minimalistic but somehow plain design.
The table boasts of a polycarbonate construction which is quite different from what the premium metallic design that we have grown to love.
The choice of the polycarbonate construction is obviously due to the budget price tag of the tablet. The DroiPad 7D is priced at Ksh. 9,900 and thus you can’t really expect an exquisite design with an entry-level budget.
However, the selling point of the tablet is the 7.0-inch display. That’s one of the unique selling points of the smartphone. The DroiPad 7D is therefore just perfect if you are shopping for a gadget to watch movies and listen to music.
The other highlight of the DroiPad 7D is the Kid Zone. Kids don’t like gadgets…. they totally love them. The DroiPad 7D with its 7-inch display will therefore most likely appeal to kids.
The DroiPad 7D kid zone allows you to create a kid friendly profile for your kid. In the Kid Zone you can choose which apps can be accessed by your child and even the duration your son/daughter can use the tablet.
I found the feature quite neat and just right to keep the young ones safe when using gadgets.
Another noteworthy feature I liked is the battery. The battery lasts long and recharges very fast. You can easily get a full day of use from a single charge.
So far so good. I didn’t set my expectations high and thus I didn’t get disappointed.
We will publish a review of the TECNO DroiPad 7D soon. Stay tuned for that!
