It is now confirmed that Huawei P30 Pro, P30 and P30 Lite will be receiving Android Q. This was confirmed through a post that recently appeared on XDA Developers.
There was a lot of uncertainty regarding whether Huawei smartphones will be receiving the next version of the Android OS following the Huawei ban.
It however, appears that Huawei was already actively working on the Android Q update for the three smartphones before the ban went into effect.
Therefore, with the license from Google intact, the update will include all Google services such as the Play Store and Maps.
The beta version of the Android 10 update for the P30 Pro is in fact already out, albeit you need to manually flash the update in order to upgrade.
The news that the three smartphones will be receiving Android 10 is awesome since the P30 and P30 Pro are premium devices.
Therefore, being able to update the smartphones to Android 10 maximizes the value owners get from the devices.
