Huawei recently launched the P50 series. Now, it’s time for the Chinese brand to launch its true flagship, the Mate 50.

Nothing official or unofficial has been announced about the device, but a patent recently surfaced reveal what the company might be planning to introduce.

According to Lets Go Digital, Huawei will introduce an Arc display with ultra-curved sides and multiple touch functionalities, including volume control to the Mate 50.

The patent was filed back in 2019 and Huawei has been sitting on the idea for quite a while. Although, we saw a simple implementation on the Mate 30 series-the phones didn’t have volume rockers. Instead, you could double-tap anywhere on the side and activate virtual controls of the sound.

Now, as per the visualizations, the futuristic smartphone curves and reaches till the rear side and can even be used to read one-line notifications.

It’s also worth noting that there is no visible selfie camera, hinting the brand is likely offering an under-display camera solution.

Keep in mind this is just still a patent used for illustrative purposes and we haven’t seen a single photo on the Mate 50 so far to corroborate this design.
