Upcoming Nokia G50 design and Key Specs accidentally leaked ahead of launch

Nokia-G10

The G50 is one of Nokia’s upcoming mid-range smartphones. Reports have also claimed it is one of Nokia’s most affordable 5G ready phones yet.

Recently, it accidentally appeared in a promo clip shared on Nokia Mobile France’s Instagram account but has since been removed. At first, you notice the device looks very similar to the G10 because of the V-notch display and triple camera setup with an LED flash.

However, the caption reads: “As durable as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the G50 phone offers incredible battery life, 5G speed, and a 48 Megapixel camera!”

The short animation also showcases the G50 will be available in two color options; Blue and Midnight Sun colors.

Based on rumors, the Nokia G50 is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 5G alongside 4GB RAM and either 64/128GB storage. It will also come pre-installed with Android 11 OS accompanied by Nokia’s latest UI.

Now that the company has accidentally teased the G50, it seems the launch date isn’t that far away. It’s expected to debut around September 28 and is likely to retail at around $285 (Ksh. 31,250).
