Vivo unveils its latest budget smartphone, the Y21; it comes with MediaTek’s Helio P35 SoC and a 5000mAh battery

Global smartphone brand, Vivo, has officially announced a new entry-level handset in India earlier today. The new Vivo Y21 has gone official with affordable pricing and is set to succeed the Y20 launched in August last year.

Some of its highlights include its sleek, awesome design, and impressive display features. Speaking of the display, the Y21 sports a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, and a waterdrop notch to accommodate the 8MP selfie camera.

As for appearances, it’s quite the looker. The Vivo Y21 comes with a slim and trendy design that is lightweight and offers a comfortable feel to it. In addition to its pleasing looks, it’s just 8mm thick so it’s sure to fit your pocket or purse superbly.

Around the back, you get a 13MP main lens aided by a 2MP macro camera. It also supports a wide range of software features including a Personalized Portrait Mode, Super HDR, and Bokeh to offer a delightful photography experience.

Performance-wise, enjoy a fast-responsive and smooth gaming experience with MediaTek’s P35 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and either 64/128GB internal storage. The Y21 runs Android 11 out of the box.

All this is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports up to 18W charging. The advanced version (4GB+128GB) is currently available and costs roughly $208 (Ksh. 22, 780). The Y21 is sure to arrive in the Kenyan market these coming months.
