As we patiently wait for Android 12 to launch this year, Google draws our attention by announcing a new set of updates coming to Android. The new features are nothing short of splendid and will be game-changers in the OS industry.
You can tell Google took to account their customer’s security and privacy since the update integrates a feature called password checkup. The feature works with Autofill and checks your details against a list of compromised passwords. If they do, you are notified and told what to do about it.
Password Checkup tells you if your passwords have been compromised by a third-party breach (apps that have access to your credentials) or if your passwords are being reused on multiple sites and advises on how strong your password is.
Prolific texters are in luck as Google has added one of the most demanded features since SMS was invented. Android’s new scheduled send feature will allow you to compose a message and schedule it to be sent at your most preferred time.
This is really helpful especially when you would like to send a text but it’s late at night and you don’t want to bother the receiver. Maps is also getting a new dark mode feature that you can enable in the phone’s settings.
Android Auto will also include custom wallpapers and shortcuts on the launch screen for accessing contacts or checking the weather.
Thanks to the update, Android is now even safer and has some pretty outstanding features.
