Infinix has today unveiled the performance-centric Hot 12 series, a range of entry-level smartphones designed to offer great battery lives and fast performance.
The launch was held at the University of Nairobi during the annual Tech week event held to showcase innovative ideas and visionary projects created by students in Universities across Kenya.
In partnership with Infinix, the winners were awarded cash prizes of up to Ksh. 50,000 along with Hot 12 Play series devices officially unveiled at the event.
The Hot 12 is down to the core, a gaming smartphone. It boasts a large 6.82-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate is ideal for smooth scrolling while the large screen is perfect for wider points of view enhancing riveting gameplay.
Additionally, the Hot 12 comes equipped with MediaTek’s gaming chipset, the G85 which is set to comfortably handle higher frame rates resulting in shorter response times.
It’s also worth noting, that the Hot 12 comes with a feature dubbed XArena, that essentially integrates all gaming apps and enables game boosters during gameplay for an unmatched gaming experience.
Plus, when it comes to the memory side of things, the Hot 12 sports up to 6GB of RAM and an additional 5GB thanks to Infinix’s self-developed RAM fusion technology. You can read more about the RAM extension technology here.
Storage-wise, you get a sufficient 128GB of internal memory and a micro-SD card slot to expand storage to your liking. The Hot 12 series runs Android 12 out of the box alongside Infinix’s UI XOS 10. For camera enthusiasts, the devices feature a 13MP triple rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
The Infinix Hot 12 will be available in 3 variants; the Hot 12 starts at Ksh 19,999 while the Hot 12 Play (128+4) goes for 18,499 and last but not least the Hot 12 Play (64+4) retails at Ksh. 16,499.
