Infinix Note 11 Pro packs an ‘extended RAM’ feature; here’s everything you need to know

The newly unveiled Infinix Note 11 Pro comes with some pretty impressive key specs. The most outstanding part of that profile being its performance. Specifically, the RAM extension technology.

The device features extended RAM technology that allows the phone’s memory to get a boost of up to 3GB in a single click – from 8GB to 11GB. It’s a handy feature that gives you a temporary boost when using more apps without compromising on battery life.

Apparently, part of the ROM will be used to work as RAM when memory is not sufficient enough, to ensure smooth performance. All you have to do to enable this feature is go to settings, under storage and click “MemFusion”. The smartphone will immediately adjust to your chosen settings.

Sounds cool, but it’s not nearly as awesome as what the device can do with the additional RAM. With the extended RAM technology, the number of apps the Note 11 Pro can run simultaneously increases from 9 to 20.

Plus, the same 20 apps that are running, get a 60% increase in startup speed to about 300ms. Not only do games load faster, but ensures users get back to games quickly even when switching across multiple apps.

Infinix adopted several innovations to make extended RAM, one of them including “dual swap partition technology” and “hot and cold pages identification algorithm”. This marks memory page activity levels as hot and cold depending on usage and stores them in different swap partitions to prevent erasure.

The Note 11 Pro also integrates an AI prediction algorithm that predicts which background apps won’t be used for a long time and saves them to extended memory, greatly improving performance. Add the advanced UFS 2.2 flash memory that provides faster storage speeds, and you have yourself an incredible fast performing device.

The Infinix Note 11 Pro’s pricing starts at Ksh. 28,499 and is available for purchase in Kenyan outlets.
