Xiaomi has been teasing the Redmi A1+ for a while now, and it has finally arrived in the Kenyan market.
The A1+ is dubbed as the most affordable Redmi right now since the Redmi Go launched back in 2019. The Redmi A1+ sports a decent technical profile for a phone in the budget segment.
For one, it comes with Android Go like the Redmi Go, packs a large 6.52-inch HD+ display, and boasts a great 2GB+32GB memory configuration.
The panel supports 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and has a waterdrop notch. The 20:9 screen offers support for a 120Hz touch sampling rate and 400nits peak brightness.
MediaTek’s Helio A22 paired with 2GB RAM powers the Redmi A1+. It runs Android 12 Go Edition straight out of the box and gets power from a 5000mAh battery that charges at 10W.
The handset comes equipped with a modest camera profile headlined by an 8MP main camera assisted by a 0.3MP depth sensor. Upfront, we have a 5MP selfie camera.
The device also offers a bunch of other features including a microSD card slot, a rear fingerprint sensor, and 2 SIM card slots.
The Redmi A1+ is available for purchase online as well as offline at a suggested retail price of Kshs. 10,499.
