HTC recently unveiled the One A9.
The HTC One A9 is the company’s 2015 flagship smartphone and just like its predecessors, it features an exquisite design and an equally impressive technical specification profile.
However, there is an argument that the HTC One A9 is a flagrant copy of Apple’s 2015 flagship smartphone, the iPhone 6s.
A quick comparison of the two smartphone designs makes it rather obvious why some consider the HTC One A9 an iPhone 6s clone.
Interestingly, HTC insists that they did not copy the design, but rather it is Apple that copied the “uni-body metal-clad phone” design that the company adopted in 2013.
There is some truth to that considering that the HTC M7 was the first smartphone to adopt the placement of the antenna bands on the rear side of the smartphone.
Apple is the most valuable brand on the planet and has been a participant in various legal suits and thus, it will be interesting how the accusation plays out.
