Samsung’s Galaxy Note’s future up for debate after the Galaxy S21 Ultra launch

Samsung put to rest speculations surrounding its latest model, the Galaxy S21 series when it was officially unveiled last week. Specifically, the S21 Ultra is quite the package with improved performance, new camera features, and a revolutionary design.

However, one feature that stood out was the stylus support. Samsung has partnered with Wacom to bring S pen support as well as the upcoming S pen pro to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Samsung does have their work cut out for them, as the Ultra doesn’t have a built-in dock for the S pen.

This advancement brings some indistinctness between the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series and questions the relevance of the latter. Additionally, the availability of big-screen phones is higher now than when the original Galaxy Note launched in 2011.

It is worth mentioning that Note series phones have gotten large over time but, the Note 20 Ultra shares the same 6.9″ display as the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Performance is also a factor as recent Galaxy notes share pretty much the same processor as the Android flagship of that year including the S flagship.

The brand has not officially made a stand on the Note’s series future but, rumors suggest that Samsung is planning to drop the line even if it’s not this year.
