Honor quietly unveils the Play 5T Life; the Chinese brand still striving to make ends meet

Honor hasn’t had the best first quarter especially after they dissociated from their parent company, Huawei due to blacklisting issues.

However, they have since picked themselves up and even launched the V40 5G in January this year. They are also reports claiming they will unveil the 50 series in May. So, It’s not all dull and gloomy.

In fact, Honor has just unveiled a budget Android Smartphone dubbed the Play 5T Life. Although, they could have had the courtesy of announcing a press release as the smartphone has just been listed on the Chinese store.

Be that as it may, the 5T life is an incredible budget smartphone sporting an impeccable technical profile.

For starters, it comes powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, coupled with 6GB RAM. In terms of storage, there is 128GB internal memory with room for a Micro SD card (up to 512GB).

Upfront, we have a 6.6-inch IPS LCD waterdrop notch display for an 8MP selfie camera. The power key also doubles as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

On the back, a rectangular module can be spotted consisting of a quad-camera set up and an LED flash. The setup includes a 13MP main, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth lenses.

A 5000 mAh capacity battery keeps the lights on and supports 22.5W fast-charging. The Honor Play 5T Life is available in two color options; Blue or Black and has a suggested price of $200 (Ksh. 21,620).
