Huawei has quietly unveiled the Y9 Prime 2019. The Y9 Prime 2019 is a variant of the Huawei Y9 2019 and packs a number of exciting features with the highlight being the pop-up selfie camera.
A pop-up selfie camera sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
The OPPO F11 Pro packs a pop-up camera feature as well as the Samsung Galaxy A80, to a certain creative extent.
The pop-up camera of the Y9 Prime 2019 is pretty cool and Huawei is so confident about it that it guarantees that the it can pop up and retract 100,000+ times before any issue with the motorized camera pops up, pun unintended.
So, what’s the difference between Y9 Prime 2019 and its sibling the Y9 2019?
Apart from the pop-up camera, the Y9 Prime 2019 packs a slightly larger display, runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and has a quad camera set-up.
This makes it a direct rival of the OPPO F11 Pro.
There is no official word about the availability of the smartphone. It however, probable that it will make its way to Kenya.
Once it does, expect the Y9 Prime 2019 to have a suggested retail price of between Ksh. 30,000 to Ksh. 35,000.
