First Impressions

The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Infinix Note 12 VIP is its unique design. From the moment you pick up the device and let it rest on your hand, you can immediately feel the smartphone has a strong build. Not to say it’s hefty, it’s actually very light, but it feels compact and rigid.

This is thanks to the aerospace-grade glass fiber used to build the body of the Note 12 VIP. It’s also fairly large, 6.67-inches, although it’s not too thick. It has slim bezels, especially at the bottom, which is quite good.

The only drawback to this design is the side-flat edges. It takes some time to get used to and can feel a bit uncomfortable at first, especially if you are used to curved-edged phones. Otherwise, it’s a great design with a solid body.

The next feature you’ll probably notice next is the display. The device sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s vibrant and exudes a wide range of vivid colors that make your media and gaming experience all the while enjoyable.

The refresh rate does its job well making sure your scrolling experience is faster and smoother when navigating menus. Outdoors, visibility isn’t strained at all and it speedily adapts to its environment in any scenario.

It’s also worth mentioning the camera setup of the smartphone. The lenses have a rectangular camera island that covers almost a whole quarter of the smartphone. Inside, the 108MP Cinematic lens has obviously been given more room alongside the 13MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor.

Images and videos look good. Whether it’s a regular photo, or your taking snaps while portrait mode is enabled, they are exceptionally clear.

The next major highlight of the Note 12 VIP is the 120W HyperCharge fast charging. The AC charger is moderately large and it delivers charge fast. It takes only 17 minutes to move from 0% to full battery. Infinix also installed some protection features to safeguard the device while prolonging battery life.
