Infinix has announced the new Note 12 VIP, their latest addition to the Note series. Rumors about the smartphone recently surfaced, and now, it is set for a launch in the Kenyan market this month.
The device comes with extraordinary upgrades including breaking the 100W charging barrier. Additionally, the handset boasts a 120Hz display and a 108MP main camera.
The Infinix Note 12 VIP supports 120W HyperCharge. It takes just 17 minutes to go from 0-100%, thanks to the dual charge pump setup. And, if you can’t wait that long, a 10-minute top-up can last up to 6 hours of gaming, 5 hours of streaming YouTube videos and up to 86 hours of music playtime.
However, speed shouldn’t be confused with haste. Infinix has taken precautionary measures to keep the 4500mAh battery protected by fitting up to 103 protection features in the phone as well as the charger.
18 of which are temperature sensors inside the phone. The VIP’s battery will also retain 85% of its capacity after 800 charge cycles.
The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, bringing with it a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. You also get a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
Aside from this major highlight, the VIP gets an exclusive camera upgrade with a 108 MP main sensor on the back, a 13MP ultrawide-angle camera, a Depth lens, and a Laser Auto Focus system. For selfies and video calls, you have a 16MP shooter.
The VIP comes powered with the better Helio G96 chipset rather than the G88 inside the regular Note 12. Although, both support 8GB of RAM and can enable 5GB of virtual RAM through Infinix’s RAM extension tech.
The Infinix Note 12 VIP is set to be unveiled on 27th May in Kenya and may be expected to retail at around Ksh. 40,999.
