itel is known for its affordable yet performance-effective smartphones and now the company has unveiled another budget-centric smartphone.

The itel S17 Android Go Edition was launched in Nigeria and is expected to hit the Kenyan market soon.

Just like the S16, the smartphone is offering a large dew-drop notch display, triple camera setup, and a big 5000mAh battery. The itel S17 is priced at Ksh. 11,000 for the 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage configuration.

The device packs a 6.6-inch IPS water-drop notch display with HD+ resolution. Upfront, you get a single 8MP camera for selfies, and for general photography, the triple camera system offers an 8MP primary lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 0.3MP AI camera lens.

Under the hood, an unknown quad-core chipset powers the smartphone clocked at 1.3Ghz. It has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage coupled with a microSD card slot for additional storage of up to 128GB.

The S17 runs Android 11 Go Edition, which is a lite version of Android 11 and houses a 5000mAh battery with standard charging speed. It comes in three color options; Sky Blue, Multicolor Green, and Deep-Ocean Black.

The smartphone will be available for purchase (probably from next week), in both offline and online markets.
