itel has officially unveiled the S18; the brand’s latest camera-centric smartphone. The itel S18 is the successor of the S17, which is one of the most popular Android smartphones on the Kenyan market. The compact and stylish device is positioned by the brand as the choice device for consumers with a desire for a stellar camera experience and much more.

Speaking at the launch event of the S18, itel Kenya country manager, Mr. Patrick, reiterated that the design of the S18 positioned the user as the focus of the product development process. This is in light of the significant trend by smartphone users to use their smartphones to document their lives. The itel S18 particularly gives its user the opportunity to create unique videos that are easier to share on different social media platforms.

With the sharing of short videos on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram being in vogue, the itel S18 will provides prospects and opportunities for itel customers.

The launch of the itel S18 at the Serena Hotel comes on a backdrop of the meteoric rise of itel as a smartphone vendor and a brand. Itel has over the years received multiple global recognition awards and was recently listed as one of the top 100 admired brands in Africa by the African Business Magazine. In addition to that itel also clinched the 2022 Titan Best Tech Company of the Decade award.

The award was in recognition of the continuous contribution that itel has brought to the African market through different tech innovations as well as products such as the itel S18. Additionally, itel has through its active social media responsibility programs such as the Love Always On campaign, been awarded the Most Committed Brand to Humanitarian Service Award by the African Brand Congress 2022.

itel currently commands a global presence in over 50 emerging markets globally and the brand is ranked first in the under $100 price category and the feature phone brand category.
