The Nokia 3 has now began receiving the Android 9.0 Pie update. This is pretty impressive because the device launched in 2017 and it’s edging towards the end of its life cycle.

The update was announced through a tweet by Juho Sarvikas, Nokia’s Chief Product Officer. The update was fulfilling a promise that all Nokia smartphones will be receiving Android Pie.

The Android 9.0 Pie update brings features such as adaptive brightness, battery, an improved system navigation as well as the May 2019 security patch.

The news comes just a couple of hours after Samsung began seeding the Android Pie Update to the 2-year old Galaxy J7 Pro.
