Opera to kill Android and iOS VPN service

Opera Shutdown

The Opera VPN app is one of the most popular free VPN apps on the market. I have personally used the service and totally loved the experience.

Sadly, Opera plans to ax the VPN service. However, if you have a premium subscription VPN to the service, Opera offers a one year subscription to SurfEasy Ultra VPN.

If you are a fan of Opera VPN App you have up to April 30th to find an alternative.Opera VPN Dead

Fortunately, there are a couple of free VPN services such as Proton VPN and Tunnel Bear that you can switch to and continue to enjoy the VPN experience.

For those not familiar with VPN services, VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. You probably had an instance where you could not access a specific YouTube video because it’s unavailable in your region.

You can use a VPN app to access such content.

VPN’s add an extra layer of security and anonymity when browsing online by rerouting your data through a remote server.

Goodbye Olaf!
