The OPPO Reno7 is a mid-range Android smartphone announced in March 2022 and recently became available in Kenya.

The Reno series is one of OPPO’s top-tier smartphone lineups and, just like its predecessors the Reno6 5G and Reno5, the Reno7 pushes on the Reno series philosophy entailing great imaging features, immensely fast performance, and fast charging capabilities.

The OPPO Reno7 sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. Quite an impressive display profile guaranteed to make you proud every time you switch your smartphone on.

It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection to prevent any screen damages and a 180Hz touch sampling rate ensuring high responsiveness and even smoother scrolling. The screen is fitted with eye-care display to protect the eyes from harmful blue-light.

The phones were supposed to look elegant, sleek, and flashy. Straight out of the box, the Reno7 fulfills all these qualities and offers much more. For one, it follows Apple’s footsteps with the iPhone 12 line-up design especially the protruded camera chunk and flat shiny sides. It looks awesome.

Not to mention the Industry’s first Fiberglass-Leather design on the rear that is both thin, lightweight and incredibly dazzling to look at. The Reno7 comes in two color options; the classic Cosmic Black and Sunset Orange with a leatherette finish.

The Reno7 comes powered by an Octa-core processor clocking at 2.4Ghz. The device comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset coupled up with 8GB of RAM plus 5GB of Virtual RAM.

Onboard, you will be getting 256GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card slot. Of course, it will also come running Android 12 out of the box alongside OPPO’s UI ColorOS 12.

As for the cameras, the Reno7 features a triple camera setup front lined by a 64MP main cam. Joining it, is a 2MP micro lens for zooming and a 2MP depth camera for focus.

Similar to its siblings in the series, the Reno7 has an LED ring around one of its cameras useful to show certain info. such as new notifications, incoming calls and much more.

Selfie-wise, the smartphone packs a 32MP camera punch holed on the top-left corner of the display. The lens is based on Sony’s IMX709 sensor which has an RGBW filter. Thumbs up to OPPO on the reverse charging but a bit of a bummer on the charging speed compared to its predecessors. Needless to say, the Reno7 should last a day or two depending on usage.
