The OPPO A1K is a budget Android smartphone that launched early in May 2019. The smartphone packs a decent entry-level technical profile with the highlight being on its large 4000mAh battery and a 6.1-inch water-drop notch display.
The OPPO A1K has a suggested retail price of Ksh. 11,599 in Kenya.
At that price point, if you are interested in the OPPO A1K you should also check out the TECNO Spark 3 Pro (Ksh. 12,499) and the Infinix Smart 3 Plus (Ksh. 11,999).
That said, here is a quick run through the technical profile of the A1K. Be sure to drop your replies below and share your thoughts about the smartphone.
Battery and Extras
Battery Capacity: Li-Po 4000 mAh
The battery is the highlighted feature of the OPPO A1K. Battery life is of great priority to the Kenyan smartphone buyer and the A1K packs a decent battery that can easily take you through a whole day from a single charge.
Display
Display Size: 6.1-inch
Display Type: Glass-Film-Film
Screen Resolution: 1560 x 720 Pixels
Screen Resolution Density: 282 PPI
Screen Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass
The OPPO A1K packs a 6.1-inch Glass-Film-Film (GFF) display. GFF is glass technology by Dawar (a US based touch-screen manufacturer). This is my first time encountering the tech from the company, but it overall appears to be a great product.
The display has a HD+ resolution of 1560 x 720 Pixels and a screen resolution density (a measure of sharpness of 282 PPI).
In addition to this, a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass protects the display from scratches.

RAM: 2GB

We have written a user experience review of ColorOS on the OPPO F11 and you should check that out to discover some of its cool features.
Performance-wise, the smartphone packs an Octa-core chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. The set-up is average and just what the market offers right now for smartphones in the Ksh. 10,000 to Ksh. 15,000 segment.
Storage-wise, you get 32GB as internal storage, which is also the 2019 standard, and a micro-SD card slot that can handle up to 256GB of memory.
