WhatsApp has begun pushing a picture-in-picture mode to its Android App.
The feature was one of the anticipated and it has taken quite a while to debut on Android. iPhone users had to access to the picture-in-picture (PIP) mode since early in 2018 but finally the feature has trickled down to Android users.
Picture in Picture mode is pretty cool. Normally, when you receive a link to let’s say a YouTube video you have to go YouTube to view the video.
However, with PIP the video plays as a layer on top of WhatsApp, which is super convenient.
The feature is quite neat and if you are using an Android Phone and you are yet to have PIP, sit tight, it’s just a matter of time before it becomes available.
