Realme Q3 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset unveiled; the Q3 and Q3i also launched alongside

Three days ago, Realme announced they were preparing to debut the Q3 series. On the evening of April 22(yesterday), Realme held an online conference to unveil the Q3 series in China.

The Q3 smartphones are brand new affordable 5G phones with the Q3i, costing cheapest of the bunch at $150 (Ksh.16,825).

Aside from their affordability, they come with some awesome specs too, in particular, the leader of the pack, the Q3 Pro. The Pro version costs around $245 (Ksh.24,599). At first, you might consider it costly, but on paper, it’s worth every penny.

For starters, it comes powered with a Dimensity 1100 Octa-core chipset clocked at 2.6Ghz coupled up with 8GB RAM and either 128GB/256GB of internal storage running Android 11 out of the box.

Upfront, you get a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. Facing the rear, you get a glimpse of the 64MP triple camera setup with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens.

Additionally, a 4500 mAh battery supporting 30W fast charging support keeps the lights on the Q3 Pro. Plus, it’s available in three color options; Gravity Black, Electric Blue, and Firefly.

It’s worth mentioning, the Firefly variation has a phosphorescent DARE TO LEAP logo on the back and will glow in the dark. The sales start April 29 in China and we should expect the phone to hit the Kenyan market in mid to late May.
