The sensor is pretty advanced and it can according to Samsung, “take pictures resembling the way the human eye perceives its surroundings in a mixed light environment”.

The sensor has two primary highlights, size and low-light shooting capabilities. Smartphones are getting smaller and thus, there is a demand for camera components that fits their svelte profiles, this sensor offers this.

In addition to this, there has been a growing interest in low-light photography. The GW1 sensor is optimized for this and we can therefore be assured of highly-detailed pictures even in low-light settings.
