The Camon C9 is an upgrade of the insanely popular Tecno Camon C8 and it features some impressive specifications that make it significantly better than its predecessor.

The Tecno Camon C9 is marketed as a budget camera smartphone.

True to that, Tecno Mobile did a fantastic job with the camera profile, where you get a 13MP Rear Camera for general photography and a 13 MP snapper for your selfies.

The Tecno Camon C9 camera profile is really impressive and kinda makes it the best budget camera smartphone that you can buy right now.

In addition to the hardware, the Camon C9 camera software packs a load of extra features that greatly enhance the overall camera experience.

The Tecno Camon C9 features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display.

Yeah, it’s a Full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution!, up from the 720 x 1280 pixels resolution found on the Camon C8.

The Camon C9 display is awesome and it is in fact one of the key selling points of the device.

The Tecno Camon C9 looks nothing than the Camon C8. Whereas, you had a blocky candy bar design with the C8, the Camon C9 features a svelte profile and the smartphone is a gorgeous blend of metal and polycarbonate construction.

The downside of this, is that the Camon C9 looks like a Tecno Boom J8 clone. It would have been awesome if Tecno decided on a different but equally impressive design philosophy.

You get a 1.3GHz Octa-Core MT6753 CPU and 2 GB RAM with the Tecno Camon C9.

Some of the highlighted features of the MT6753 CPU include refined image processing and 1080p Full HD recording, two features that are essential to the Camon C9.

The Tecno Camon C9 runs Android 6.0 out of the box. The C9 is the second smartphone after the Tecno W4 to run Android 6.0. Tecno HiOS runs on the Android 6.0 giving the smartphone a sleek appeal.

Battery and Extras

Battery Capacity: Li-ion 3000 mAh

You get a Li-ion 3000 mAh with the Tecno Camon C9.

This is the exact capacity you get with the Tecno Boom J8.

A 3000 mAh capacity is kind of enough but it’s rather annoying that the smartphone doesn’t come with flash charging, why Tecno?
