The Xiaomi 12 series is scheduled to launch globally on March 15th. The devices including the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X come as successors to the Xiaomi 11 series released last year.
The flagship series is among the first devices to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset except for the 12X expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 870 SoC.
As we wait for the announcement, official press renders have been revealed courtesy of industry sources, showcasing the design and camera setup.
Both the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro share a similar design featuring a punch-hole cutout for the selfie lens and narrow bezels. While the Pro model may be slightly curved to the edges, the regular Xiaomi 12 has a flat-screen on the front.
The 12 Pro is set to sport a large 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, 50MP+50MP+50MP triple cameras, and a 4,600mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging.
The Xiaomi 12, on the other hand, boasts a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 12GB RAM, and 256GB of internal memory, 50MP+13+5MP cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
We expect the Xiaomi 12 to come at a suggested retail price of Ksh. 62,999 while the Pro model is to be priced at Ksh. 69,999.
